The time required to perform a breast augmentation by fat transfer is approximately 3 hours. There is no need to stay one night at the clinic, however in some cases I recommend it. The type of anesthesia vary from person to person. Sometimes I perform the breast augmentation by fat transfer under local anesthesia, which simplifies some aspects of the surgery, some other times I perform it under general anesthesia when comfort demands it.
