There are 3 types of skin cancer: Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Melanoma. Risk factors for skin cancer are sun exposure and genetic factors. It is wise to get a full body skin check regularly as skin cancer is curable if detected early.

Excisions for Benign and Malignant Growths

Benign growths are noncancerous growths such as skin tags, keloids, and seborrheic keratosis. 

 These can be removed using   a surgical procedure called an excision  sometimes combined with cryotherapy. Some benign skin growths can become cancerous, which is why it's important to be examined by a board-certified dermatologist who can evaluated your skin.
